“Going back to human is recognizing my body as the vessel that allows me to experience life on this earth. It means embracing and accepting my nature, with both its light and its shadow. Going back to human is giving myself permission to simply be."

Rebeca Sovi is a self-taught visual artist based in Lyon, France, whose work emerges from intuition, emotion, and a deep desire to connect—with herself, with others, and the world around her.

Born in Mexico, she carries the vibrancy of her homeland: bold colors, symbolic imagery, and a strong sense of community. Her life and art have been shaped by the movement between cultures. Moving to France marked a profound turning point, bringing challenges and revelations that would transform grief and solitude into a creative language uniquely her own.

From this space of reflection and connection, her artistic movement, Back to Human, was born—a call to return to the essence of being:
to reconnect with ourselves and each other, to embrace nature, and nourish the body. She believes this path opens a doorway to the divine.

Through painting, illustration, and immersive experiences, she explores themes of identity, simplicity, and what it truly means
to be human. Her process is profoundly intuitive—guided more by feeling than form—and invites others to rediscover their own creative nature, free from expectation or judgment.
